15. 1990s - Cookies. Clever and cutting with great vocals. Perfect for a party and some ridiculous dance moves.
14. Shout Out Louds - Our Ill Wills. Depressive as The Cure, pop music at it's best that's both lush and full of despair.
13. Calvin Harris - I Created Disco. Feel sorry for yourselves right now if you've been dancing this year and don't know Calvin. Melodic, cool and smart.
12. Stars - In Our Bedroom After The War. Broken heart songs that plays like a rock opera, still lovely but tougher than their last.
11. New Pornographers - Challengers. Mature and cohesive, this is a great collection of well constructed and varied pop songs.

15. Cloud Cult "Take Your Medicine". a great song to start a run, when that acoustic kicks in at the 2:30 mark the warmup is over, time to kick it up a notch
14. Narrator "Surfjew". i just realized that a lot of my songs are songs i like to run to.
13. Germans "Tiger Vaccuum Bottle". they remind me of one of my all time favorite chicago bands, Number One Cup. kind of a mix b/w The Notwist and Pavement.
12. Modest Mouse "Missed the Boat". such a unique band, people fall into the love them or hate them category. i reallyreallyreally love them.
11. The Maccabees "Precious Time". i'm not sure how to pronounce their name but i'm trying to get people to pronounce it Muhka Bees instead of Macka - bees. i like the way he says "courage".
