Thrill

Thrill Jockey turns fifteen and is throwing an anniversary show at Logan Square Auditorium December 14-15.  Artists include The Sea and Cake, Califone, the Fiery Furnaces, Trans Am, Arbouretum, Freakwater, ADULT., the Zincs, Bobby Conn, Brokeback, Eleventh Dream Day, Archer Prewitt, Pit Er Pat, Field Music and more.  What's most interesting is that no lineup will be announced, so I guess you'd better plan on spending a lot of time at the venue in order to catch your faves.  The Friday / Saturday evening shows will set you back 50 bucks.  Here's the Empty Bottle link if you are looking for tickets.

Stylus indeed shut down this week.  Not my favorite site over the last couple of years, but did have some fine articles from time to time. Their writers chose LCD Soundsystem's Sound Of Silver as their top pop album of 2007.

I heard so many great things about the Decemberists and their "Long and Short of it" shows, which they are now canceling just two dates into their tour due to an illness in the band.
